Dorothy-Natalie Williams
Angels singing, mouths open
Wide with jewels of sound
Crashing, thudding
Their eyes hit the ground
Wings touch my soul
Eclipsed and entwined
What once a half, now seems a whole
Follow me if you must
Dorothy’s in Oz I’m guessing
Must have those angels stressing
Just to make me a believer
They found me a golden retriever
Like to catch my bone
Doesn’t seem to want to be alone
Memories play like hands on a harp
With each strum a different melody
Projecting picture almost sounded
Winding back, reverse, play
Silence reaches me in uncomfortable glamour
Like a kiss followed by stammer
Heart sounds into an iron hammer
Angels gaze
This is a love craze
Silence surrounding me
Silence surrounding you
Like angel’s blanket
Muffled in ears
And in your eyes I see
You play our lives together through the years
