Leaving Late Tonight-Bobby Calero
Leaving Late Tonight ‘Cause I Gotta Be There Early Tomorrow Morning
By Bobby Calero
Taut chord cavorting among
Ugly liquor and yellow lights
Dominion of a processed kingdom
Gut-punch, collapse with hysterics
When side effects step to the stage
And present you their theatrics
Midnight public transportation
Arboreal shadows collapse with hysterics
As obsidian knots and limbs
As patterns, insignificant,
Unless, you know, unknown combinations
To some forgotten tumble lock
Tap rhythm boots beneath laconic moon
Forget chimerical waiting rooms
And swivel hips with musical idols
Burning in all seven corners
Of this long ride with only diversion and self-amusement as guide.
